ME

Lara grew up in “the South” (Alabama, to be exact.)  She somehow wound up in Brooklyn via her travels out ”West.”  After quitting her accounting career in 2003, she packed her stuff and headed to Idaho, where she naively accepted a position as head baker (well, sole baker) on a guest ranch.  Never having really baked or cooked much…certainly not for large amounts of people…she was now responsible for EVERY baked good from breakfast to dessert, seven days a week.  So how else do you learn how to survive such a potentially disasterous move…the hard way, of course!  But she did survive.  And had found a new passion in life, which she has been pursuing since. 

One Sweet World will not only be a journey in discovering food…but all things that make this life so sweet!   Lara’s passion is not only for baking…but for everything new, unexpected and challenging.  This will be a place to document her need for setting goals and (hopefully) achieving them.
